WHAT IS SOCIAL VALUE IRELAND?
Social Value Ireland is a network of individuals and organisations who are interested in changing the way Irish society accounts for value.
WHY?
Because far too often, policies are formulated and resources are allocated using an economic concept of value that is very limited. Decisions are regularly made that fail to consider the full effects on people and their environment. We believe a better way of valuing is possible.
HOW?
Accounting for social value is an evolving field. It is certainly not an easy task, but guidance and resources on how to do it are available. By coming together we can build a movement that values the things that matter.
WHEN?
Inequality is growing and environmental degradation is increasing. The time to act is now.
WHO?
Social Value Ireland was conceived and is coordinated by Quality Matters, The Wheel and Whitebarn Consulting. Social Value Ireland is an Associate Network of Social Value International.
